Challenge Two: Overused Songs

► Challenge:
This challenge really got me out of my comfort zone. Oh boy, this song is so hard to vid. I spent so much time finding a fandom that suited the song. It was important for me to choose a movie that hasn't really been vidded before.

► Movie:
Friedrich is a working-class boy who gets to attend a National Political Academy (NaPolA) due to his boxing skills. Coming from a poor home, he sees this as a chance. He makes friends with Albrecht, the sensitive son of the area's governor. A night in the forest hunting for escaped Russian POWs brings things to a head.
The movie shows how attractive Nazism actually seemed to „most" Germans at the time and how the boys are being seduced by the system. It takes a while before Friedrich „opens his eyes" to the cruel intentions of the Nazi system.
► What is NaPolA?
(National Political Institution of Teaching) The goal of the school was to raise a new generation for the leadership of the Nazi state. Life in boarding school was very competitive and brutal.
