This lecture series is about a general introduction to Contemporary Western Philosophy. Through which students will understand the basic nature of Contemporary Western Philosophy.
On the complition of the course the students will be able to build up the foundation of Philosophical understanding about Contemporary Western Philosophy, under which students will acquire basic understanding about the Contemporary Western Philosophy and they can also understand the ultimate objectives of human life.

Objectives of Contemporary Western Philosophy is to:
Introduce students to the plurality of philosophical currents of the late 19th and 20 CE, including Existentialism, Phenomenology, Hermeneutics and Critical Theory.

To expose students to the major debates concerns human existence in modern times - existential, ethical and epistemological challenges.

Understand the origin and nature of Contemporary Western Philosophy. And also it introduce students with classical understanding about Contemporary Western Philosophy.

It also inculcates a sense of spirit of Contemporary Western Philosophy and its other dimensions related to God, Man and Universe.

Learning Outcomes:
The course would enable students to:

Revaluate the various paradigms of understanding human existence, knowledge, freedom , power, responsibility, authority.

To develop a sense of how philosophy works as a critique.
