China now has superiority in satellite navigation. This means decades of commercial dominance.

China's SatNav system is now demonstrably superior to the GPS system of the US, according to industry experts and an investigative report to Congress. The Chinese system is more powerful, more accurate, and covers a much greater area, especially in the Global South and in the developing world.

This comes at a time when the developing world will see giant new consumer markets, and almost all electronic devices, equipment, and vehicles will have connectivity and mapping functions.
