My husband Boris and I live in the Philippine island of Mindanao in the province of Surigao del Sur in barangay Dugmanon.
Today, we are going to share with you our ideas and plans to create a new fun project.
Our house is located by the road that leads to the famous Enchanted River. This tourist spot is only 6 km away from us. We have decided that we will not renovate this house because later we will build a new one on another plot which is nearby and we will use this place for business.
Our main plot is located about two hundred meters from the same road, there is no noise, clean air. This is our dream. Here we plan to build a house and start creating a unique project. Boris and I are very much looking forward to your support. We want to create here a community of interesting, talented, creative people who can do creative work, handicrafts, design, share their knowledge and experience.
This is not just a place where people will live together. We plan to build workshops for working with wood, bamboo, metal, ceramics, and others that you yourself can offer.
We'll also have a cozy place where residents of this
community will be able to meet, talk, drink coffee or tea and just relax.
Many coconut palms are already growing here. We have recently planted avocado, guayabano, marang, mango, calamansi, and plan to plant more fruit trees such as durian, coffee, cacao, rambutan, lanzonis, and mangosteen. This tropical garden will not only delight us but the whole community.
Foreigners cannot buy a plot of land in the Philippines, but they can rent it for 25 years. Our land is over 1 Ha and we invite culturally decent people who would like to live with us in the Philippines. We will be neighbors and can help each other. I can help with relocation to the Philippines, visa renewal, and Boris can help build a house.
One of the reasons we fell in love with Hinatuan is the nature. It truly is a tropical paradise here. Besides the beautiful Enchanted River, we love discovering beautiful secret beaches and waterfalls. Recently, we visited the amazing tiered waterfall of Tinuy-an,
The temperature in our province of Surigao del Sur is also pleasant: 30-35 degrees during the day and 25 degrees at night. The ocean water temperature is around 30 degrees. And during the whole year it does not fall below 27.
One of the main concerns of families with children is education. In our barangay, there are elementary and middle schools about seven hundred meters away from this site. And the nearest college is in Hinatuan town which is seven kilometers or 10 minutes away by motorcycle. There is also a hospital there. And in Dugmanon itself, there is a health center.
Our land is registered to me, but Iinsisted that my husband's name to be put on the deeds as well. Our lawyer will help you draw up a lease agreement and you will also have paperwork to prove that you are leasing this piece of land.
