I only went to the 1st floor - all other Tamiya products and downstairs - TAMIYA MINI 4WD. I couldn't see any signage indicating where the event floor was located and I also totally forgot about it as I was mesmerised by all the Tamiya stuff.

The staff on the mini 4WD was mega helpful. Initially, I did ask a dude for advise on what parts to purchase. And just like the 9 out of 10 Japanese people that couldn't speak English, he went and grabbed his supervisor.

Supervisor-san spoke really good English (Sorry, I forgot your name Supervisor-san) He helped me with buying the right upgrade parts for my car. By the way FYI for all tourist intending to buy it and bring it back home, the two-lane mini 4WD track weighs about 10kg but its a big box. The box did protect the track and survived the trip home via AirAsia airlines.

As mentioned, in the first video that prices are similar to buying online sans shipping fees. Also there were lots of guys both young and much, much older walking around carrying small little shopping baskets, filling them with upgrade parts.

I don't know but for some crazy reason, I was expecting a mega store like Costco or something like that, but it was packed with heaps of stock. I've been to the official Tamiya Store in Malaysia and boy, that trip a disappointment and biggest waste of my life. That store had practically 10 mini 4WD upgrade parts and the assistant there was rude as!

I love Japan and will definitely come back to the Tamiya Plamodel Factory again!
