A fan chart is a way to display historical data along with a prediction of future values.

The term “fan chart” was created by the Bank of England who started using this method for displaying inflation in 1997.

In this video, we look at how to create a Fan Chart based on an Excel Table. There are also some interresting uses of the INDEX function to create dynamic ranges.
