Two locomotives from Valsad (BL) shed pass the level crossing at Bagwada in Gujarat as they head towards their home shed at Valsad. The front locomotive was a WAP-4 (22560) and was towing the rear locomotive, a blue WAG-7 in WAP-4 shell (28640). Both the locomotives were quite clean and shiny.

Even though both locomotives have a top speed of at least 100 kmph, they were not even close to that speed. I was travelling from Mumbai to Udvada on the Ahmedabad Highway and first noticed the locomotives when the highway was parallel to the railway line at Bhilad and Karambele. We came from behind and easily overtook the locomotives (even though the car was doing just 80-90 kmph due to traffic). Finally at the Bagwada level crossing gate, we were made to wait as the locomotives crossed. You can see that they are quite slow. So I am not sure if the loco-pilot was just relaxed, or if there was some issue in one of the locomotives.
