Most relationships don't break with a fight. They break with a misunderstanding that never gets talked about. (Read that again.)

When people don't know how to ask, when people assume things, when people don't respond, when people feel disappointed, when people don't want to seem needy, when people don't realize how much things can change...

Here's the deal.

Jesus didn't come to just save you from your sins. He also came to heal you from your wounds. To be specific, from relational wounds.

And catch this.

He even came so that He would disciple you regarding how to have healthy and godly relationships. This happens through a community of believers! Jesus in others discipling you.

Further, when you allow healing to happen and when you are in the process of getting discipled and discipling others, this brings God glory.

You ready? Let's go.

5:00 - When people assume things, well, you know what they say about this? To assume means you're making an ass our of you and me.

7:29 - Jesus did not just come to save you from your sins. Yes, Jesus traveled from eternity into time to die on the cross so you would not be punished for your sins. Yet, he also came to heal you from your relational wounds.

12:33 - One detail regarding Pastor Paul's commentary on Isaiah 53 is that of the price that was paid on the cross so that we can have God's peace available to us.

17:30 - Prior to reading and commenting on the main passage, an introduction to the book of Colossians is given.

42:11 - The call-to-action "forgive before you feel like it, no strings attached" is delivered. Forgiveness flows from mercy which is defined as not giving someone they deserve.

In our post-COVID-19 world, our worship services look different than we’ve ever experienced. Yet in the middle of all the changes, there are still some things that haven’t changed. This is a time to celebrate the God who never changes. As we remember how He helped us in the past, we can step forward in faith, in confidence, knowing that He will also see us through each new difficulty that enters into our life.
