Exploring Glyn Valley Tramway Lost Stations - Chirk Glyn Ceiriog - Tramway Museum

Описание к видео Exploring Glyn Valley Tramway Lost Stations - Chirk Glyn Ceiriog - Tramway Museum

A look around what's left of the old stations along this line. Open between 1873 and 1935, the Glyn Valley Tramway served a number of villages and quarries between Wrexham and Oswestry providing a link to the mainline at Chirk.

Today the former station at Glyn Ceiriog is now a museum to the line, while just the waiting rooms at Dolywern and Pontfadog remain. Castle Mill and Pontfaen have been swept away for road widening while Chirk Station is now being rebuilt as there are plans to reopen part of the link as a heritage railway.
