The inauguration ceremony of the famous Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, created high demand for startup ideas. The event will not only be remarkable from a religious perspective, but certain pockets of the economy are also expected to gain big from the opening of the grand temple.

Ayodhya's Ram Temple inauguration is anticipated to be a momentous occasion with enormous possible economic implications. Tata Group hospitality firm Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has signed management contracts for two new properties in Ayodhya -- a 100-room hotel under the Vivanta brand and another 120-room Ginger hotel -- which are expected to be operational in 36 months. At the other end of the spectrum, OYO plans to add 50 new properties -- 25 homestays and 25 small and medium hotels with 10 to 20 rooms each.

What has been the quantum jump of property prices in Ayodhya? In 2019, before the verdict, the prices were between Rs 400 to Rs 700 per square foot. Now, they have gone to Rs 1500 to about Rs 3000 per square foot. Whoever made real estate investment in vicinity of 2.5 km of the Ram Mandir, has made up by 10 times profit within three years.
