Today I want to share with you a quick way to get tons of scrap in Gwent the witcher card game. This method was made possible by the new patch 1.04 that went live today in Gwent. Many cards were nerfed while some cards were buffed, but I want to focus on the nerfs for today.

Both the Gold weather cards were hit with the nerf hammer today, Drought and Rag Na Rhoug (I think?). But the good news is that the developers are offering a refund of sorts for these cards that have been changed for the worse.

This is where the scrap method comes in. Kayran for instance is normally milled down for 200 scrap, but because it was decreased by 2 power they are offering 800 scrap (the full craft cost) when milled.

To take this further the Premium versions of the cards also grant the full amount of a scrap refund, which means that you can transmog a card with meteorite powders and get twice the amount of scrap from these specific cards. This is a huge deal and can net you tons of scrap to create the deck of your dreams!

Today I want to bring you something new. I have been playing the Gwent the Witcher 3 card game public beta for the last few day, and I am having a blast! The best part about Gwent the Witcher 3 card game is that it is free to play! It only needs around 5 gigabytes of storage space and is worth trying out.

In this video I am going to give you a few Gwent tips for beginners. I am not going to go into how the game is played or what cards you need, but rather some tips to help you build your deck and win matches. The tutorials will show you how to play the game if you are looking for some basic info.

One of the best ways to prepare for public matches in Gwent is to know how the currency system works. You have Kegs, Scrap, Meteorite dust, etc. to use that have a variety of options.

Kegs- Kegs are a supply drop style system that gives you 5 cards in a single Keg. The first four cards are random, and after you get to pick one of three random cards that can be legendary cards.

Scrap- Scrap is a very important currency in Gwent the witcher card game. It is used to craft new cards to add to your deck. Scrap is pretty slow accumulating and the cost on some of the best cards are really high, so make sure to save it up!

Milling- You can Mill any cards in Gwent that you receive and use the scrap to create new cards. You get a much greater amount of scrap by milling than any other method, but you will have to sacrifice a card for it.

Meteorite dust- This is used to create an animation for cards in your inventory. You gain no added benefit but they look awesome.

Make sure that you are only using of the five factions in the beginning, that way you can spend your resources to create a deck that is going to win matches. The factions are: Northern realm, Nilfgaardian, Monsters, Skellige, and Scoiateal.

Each of the factions has different leader cards you can earn through challenges and crafting, so you can swap the leader ability if you want.
