Hey folks! I hope you enjoy another Thomas parody music video!
This is the first time since “Bad Guys” that I’ve fully rewritten a famous song for a parody music video. This time, I wanted to do a slower-paced song with a more laid-back video, so I chose to rewrite “Leave a Tender Moment Alone”, one of my personal top 3 BIlly Joel songs. Basically I heard the word ‘tender’ in the song and my funee Thomas-hardwired brain said ‘Tender MOMENT? But what if tender ENGINE??’, and the rest is history.

Surprisingly, rewriting the lyrics wasn’t nearly as hard as some of the previous songs. Somehow, (with some help from Rhyme Generator), I found train-themed words and lines that rhymed with the original, and within a day I had already “Thomas-fied” the first two verses.

I want to give a HUGE thank you to Joe, AKA Shunting Yard Studios for recording all the vocals in this song. He recorded each verse in a different voice to suit the character, and even recorded the backing vocals 4 times over as all the different engines - including Scottish accents for the twins! He absolutely elevated the song and made it way grander than I ever thought it was going to be.
