The original bridge on this guitar was not in great shape. At some point in the past, nuts and bolts had been installed in the wings to keep the bridge on the guitar. In addition, the bridge was too low after the neck reset and the saddle slot was very narrow. The saddle did not slope toward the bass side, so there was virtually no string compensation. I addressed each of these shortcomings by building a new ebony bridge.
