"Serious Effect" is an unreleased song by Michael Jackson intended for the Dangerous and Dangerous: Special Edition albums. LL Cool J is featured on a rap verse.

"Serious Effect" was written and produced with Bryan Loren and recorded in 1991, with Teddy Riley later joining production for the track. Loren mentioned he believed the song was considered for the final track list of Dangerous in the summer of 1991 and was "very disheartened when Michael said "no".

On July 7, 2002, the song leaked online in its entirety.
On December 5, 2007, a short edit leaked as well.
