In this Let’s Play series, we set out with a Rich Explorer to land on a jungle somewhere. We have to try to keep this explorer alive while Randy Random throws whatever he can find in his back pockets at them. We start with a single explorer and about 2000 silver.

Things are going pretty well today. Our crashed escape pod prisoner finally joins us (yay!) and gets a new name. And then. . . we have a chance to add a new colonist to our party, at the cost of defending her from a raid.

And, defend her we do! From two pirates, one with a pistol and one with a survival rifle. It’s our chance to see how well our new, fledgling defenses keep up. And. . . well. . . it’s not that good. There’s too many trees, too much cover, and not enough, well, firepower. We DO manage to drive them off (finally), but it’s not the bloodless battle we might have liked. Curses!

But that’s okay. We’ll just keep chipping away, trying to make our mark in the world, eking out a living in Tortoise Valley! Our new RimWorld home.
