This episode is pretty special as we get to investigate a very rare occurrence - the deployment of the RAT (no, not the rodent kind, but the Ram Air Turbine) in flight on the Global Express!!

Despite the thumbnail, this was done very much intentionally as part of the routine maintenance performed on the airplane over time. The process however is really interesting as it demonstrates the efficiency of the RAT, as well as the functions it performs.

As you'll learn in this video, the RAT provides both AC electricity as well as Hydraulic pressure in case of total engine failure or total electric failure.
