Loon Mountain - Kancamagus 8

Описание к видео Loon Mountain - Kancamagus 8

Kancmagus 8 is an eight-person detachable chairlift located at Loon Mountain. The chairlift runs from the bottom of the mountain, next to the Governor's lodge to about halfway up the ski area. The lift serves the West Basin area of the resort, which is located on the lower half of the mountain and consists of a variety of intermediate and advanced groomer trails. The lift also services greens that lead to the Octagon/Gondola base area. The bottom of North Peak can also be accessed from the top of the lift. Kanc 8 is a state-of-the-art chairlift, featuring bubbles, heated seats, a loading carpet, locking safety bars and is the first eight-person chairlift to be installed in the East. The chairlift also features a gigantic lower terminal, used for the queue and chair storage. Kanc 8 is part of a recent push by Loon's owner, Boyne Resorts, to install state-of-the-art chairlifts at its resorts, such as Ramcharger 8 at Big Sky in Montana and the upcoming Jordan 8 lift at Sunday River in Maine. The chairlift was installed in 2021 by Doppelmayr, replacing a 1995 high-speed quad, which will be replacing the current Seven Brothers chairlift for the 2022-2023 ski season. This video was filmed on the chairlift's opening weekend (day three of operation).

Loon Mountain is a ski resort located in Lincoln, New Hampshire. The ski area is one of the most popular in the state, being one of the largest ski areas in the state and being located just minutes off of Interstate 93 and outside downtown Lincoln, a popular town for tourists. The ski resort is comprised of three sections. Loon Peak is home to two separate base areas the Octagon Base Area and the Governor's Base Area. Loon Peak is home to many fun and winding groomers most of which are rated as intermediate. North Peak is home to the true summit of the ski resort and is home to more wide-open, mostly advanced groomers. Finally, South Peak, the newest portion of the resort which is located separate from Loon and North peaks and is connected by a two-way chairlift, is home to a mix of harder intermediate and advanced terrain including Loon's only double-black trail at Loon, Ripsaw. The ski area is also a popular destination in the summer and fall for mountain biking, scenic gondola rides, and mountain caves.
