Some information about the ingredients I showed in this video.
1. I love Korean Pear but sometimes they are very expensive. You can use western pear but try to use a not sour one.
2. Korean Pear drink 갈아만든 배 (garamandeun bae) can replace Korean Pear and they are much cheaper :)
3. Maesil-cheong(Korean green plum extract/syrup) is one of the ingredients I try not to use in my recipe because for me it's not an essential ingredient for Korean cooking but it's really good to use if you have it.
4. Maesil Drink is easy to buy in Korean grocer and it can replace the Maesil-cheong for unique fragrance but it is not as sweet as Maesil-cheong.
5. Cooking honey can replace sugar just use a little less than sugar. This applies to only regular cooking honey, please note honey varies much depending on their types.
6. Oligofructose 올리고당 (Oligo dang in Korean) can replace sugar. You can double the amount. (Starch syrup works fine too)
7. Soju is Korean hard liquor. It is very cheap in Korea and that's why I include it in my video.
8. Coca Cola can be a great ingredient for cooking too. I somethines soak meat in it and drain before I marinade it. You can do like me or just add it as one of the ingredients.
