VIDEO CONTENTS:
[0:00] Introduction
Presoaked in plain tap water. Add a zip tie before presoaking to mark the mid point of the skein
[2:01] The Set up - 4 cups of water + 3 T white vinegar in the steam pan (4" deep over 2 burners)
dyes - Purple Pop and Silver Gray from Dharma for the speckles
1% stock solution of True Black for the semi solid side
[3:10] Speckling the first half
[7:58] preparing to dye the next side
[9:01] Dyeing the semi solid side
Add 4 cups of water + A diluted black mixture (2 T, 30 mL of 1% stock solution mixed in 4 cups of water) Slowly add it over the yarn moving things around
After adding the dye add more vinegar as needed
[13:48] washing the yarn (the yarn is completely cool before washing)
[14:33] the dry long skein
[16:15] reskeined and swatch!
40 stitches stockinette on US Size 1 (2.5 mm) knitting Needles
