This thrifted wedding dress went through a serious overnight glow-up. After a full wash, the lipstick stains and spray tan marks were completely gone, the fabric looked brighter, and the skirt fluffed back up beautifully. The corset details really came to life, and at that point, I thought the hardest part was over.

Not so fast. Before I could even try it on, I realized this gown was made for someone with a much shorter torso. That meant some necessary alterations just to make it wearable — adjusting the neckline, removing hardware, and doing a little last-minute DIY couture so the dress could actually fit my proportions.

Then came the try-on. The waist landed perfectly, the dress looked stunning, and for a second it felt like this might be the one. But of course, there was one more surprise — the bust needed way more support and coverage than expected. So while this try-on was a success, the transformation isn’t finished yet.
