Florida Veteran Benefits Breakdown (2025 Guide)

No State Income Tax for Florida Veterans
Florida remains one of the most tax-friendly states for veterans:

No state income tax on military retirement or VA disability benefits.

Florida Property Tax Exemptions for Veterans
$5,000 Property Tax Exemption
Veterans with a 10% or greater service-connected disability qualify for a $5,000 property tax exemption.

Full Property Tax Exemption
Veterans who are 100% permanently and totally (P&T) disabled or wheelchair-bound may receive a complete exemption on their homestead.

Combat-Disabled Veteran Discount (Age 65+)
Veterans aged 65+ with a combat-related disability can receive a property tax discount proportional to their VA rating.
