S550+Pixhawk Hexacopter Fumigation System

In this test, the fumigation system mounted on the S550 hexacopter, which has a Pixhawk 2.4.8 flight controller, is verified. In general terms, the fumigation system is made up of the following elements:

• Electric diaphragm pump at 12v and flow rate of 21.6ml/s.
• Relay module with optocoupler for Arduino, with 5v output.
• 300cc tank with accessories.
• Hanging nebulizer for irrigation of 6.35mm diameter, with adjustable orifice and shut-off valve.
• Silicone hose with an internal diameter of 4mm and an external diameter of 6mm.

Here, the fumigation system is activated through the transmitter, by a channel assigned to a two-position switch, whose signal is sent to an auxiliary output of the Pixhawk and activates the relay, thus energizing the electric pump.
