American Turk Episode 1: Annemin Doğum Günü (My Mother's Birthday)

In this introductory episode, allow me to tell you who I am while giving you a little tour of my neighborhood on the Asian side of Istanbul. It also happens to be my mother-in-law's birthday!

Future episodes will be about half this long, but I hope you enjoy this candid peek into my daily life as an "American Turk!" You'll meet most of my Turkish family (my second brother-in-law Ateş will be in future episodes).
