True DTB veterans will remember the early days of my channel, where I had way less of a filter for my criticism of players. You think I'm bad now? These days I temper all my honest criticism with soft words like "but" and "maybe" and "I don't know" so that fanbases don't turn on me (there was a time where Raptors fans thought I hated them, which is stupid. I just hated all their players a few years ago). Back in the day, I called everyone a bust. Not literally everyone, but with any rookie or sophomore who was sucking, I was quick to affix the "BUST" label squarely to their forehead. John Wall was a bust. That's how long ago this was.

I don't think I've even called ANYONE the b-word this year. And that's a shame. I've turned soft. What has happened to me? I look at myself in the mirror, and I do not recognize the face that stares back at me.

So it is with that said that Cam Reddish is a total capital-B bust. I'm done dancing around the issue. He sucks. His percentages suck, his scoring sucks, and that's the one thing he was drafted to do so of course he sucks at everything else as well. Sometimes, just because he's an athletic player with a decent NBA body who is willing to shoot, he can have a "good" scoring night. Like tonight, I guess. But it's fool's gold. It's a mirage. This will never be his night-to-night reality.

We could've seen this coming too. Because he sucked in college. And that's COLLEGE, where his defenders were random 6-foot tall white dudes from the Backwoods Bible Institute of Hillbilly County. There were red flags all over the place with this guy, and anyone with half a brain knew he was gonna suck for, at the very least, his entire rookie season. And now he is. Because he sucks, and because he's a bust.

Not only is he a bust now, but he's gonna be a bust FOREVER. The label that I have attached to his forehead NEVER comes off.
