Follow these steps-
* First of all keep the plant in water for at least 4-5 hours before planting in a pot.
* Clean and Remove extra leaves and roots from the plant.
* You will need 2 pots for plantation of waterlily
Smaller pot 6-8 inch deep 10-12 inch wide
Bigger Pot 12-15 inch deep 18-20 inch wide
* Soil: for water Lilly plantation clay soil (also known as Potters soil)is best, you can also use pond soil or normal garden soil.
* Compost: Always prefer organic compost like vermicompost or fully rotten cow dung manure for best results.
* 3 part of clay soil and 1 part of organic manure makes a perfect potting mixture for water lily plant.
*Just fill half of the smaller pot with clay soil and plant the water lily in the center of the pot.
*Apply a thin layer of organic compost around and above roots and cover with clay soil so that when you put the plant in water, root, and compost may not come out from soil
* keep the pot in a place where the plant may get at least 5-6 hours of sunlight.
