These are the lyrics of "Èkó dára púpò" from the Album "Save Nigeria" By Princess Bunmi Olajubu, also in the Album is "Tí o bá ká ìwé e bàtà rè á dún kokoka" (If you study hard your heels will make sound, if you don't your slippers will).

The melodious Princess Bunmi Olajubu was born into the Royal family of Oloja of Ikogosi, Ekiti, the late Oba Joseph Afolayan Olajubu and Mariam Modupe Olajubu in 1954. A dental surgeon by training, she was prominent in the early 1980's. She was a regular guest on BCOS Akure, NTA Ibadan, she toured Nigeria with her educative and motivating songs. Ádùrá and Nitori were also hit songs.

After her father's death, she became a Regent of Ikogosi, she was a Regent for a long time until a new Ọba was installed. She was rumoured to have dated Veteran musician, Mike Okri, their relationship made rounds in the news but the two never publicly confirmed it.

Sometimes in 1996, the beautiful songstress was implicated in a fraud scheme and was subsequently incarcerated at the Kirikiri maximum prison, Apapa. During her time in prison, she was said to have made the news with her performance during an Exhibition of prisoners. It was an emotional scene for some of the guest who implored the Government to pardon her. The ex-regent was subsequently released.

In 2006, She passed away at the age of 52. Her death was not made public so as to keep the heartbreaking news away from her aged mother. When she learnt that her beautiful daughter had passed away one year after, she wept uncontrollably.

Her daughter, Princess Iyabo Olajubu, has taken the mantle from her mother, she has reproduced and remixed her mother's hit songs to suit modern trend.
