Mental Health Support During COVID is a challenge. This is the launch of Voice That Cares - A Free of Charge Psychosocial First AID (PFSA) will provide counselling and support.
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought with it many hardships, be it health issues, grieving the loss of a loved one, financial inadequacies, or the stress of contracting the virus and passing it on- many of us have been prey to such unfortunate events.

To help us cope with these unprecedented times, Heartfulness Institute in association with Ripples of Change Foundation (ROCF) is pleased to launch its new initiative ‘Voice that Cares’ (VTC), a free-of-charge psychosocial first aid (PSFA) public helpline, launched under the guidance of National Disaster Management Authority and Centre for Psychosocial Support in Disaster Management, which aims to provide counselling in multiple languages, to support large sections of the population affected by the pandemic.

“Voice that Cares- Psycho-social First Aid (PSFA)” helpline to provide counselling to
people suffering from mental health issues.
The helpline number is 8448-8448-45 and will be open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 7 days a week and is offered in Hindi and English languages.
This public helpline will provide psychosocial counselling support on a wide range of mental health matters which include anxiety, fear, panic attacks, phobias, guilt, grief, loneliness, anger, exam stress, pandemic induced psychological issues, stigma, etc, and first aid support for suicidal tendencies, depressive disorders, substance abuse, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and other mental health concerns. In the first year of operations, the helpline is estimated to support approximately 48,400 PSFA calls, likely touching the lives of more than 24,000 beneficiaries.
