Sturgeon Spearing 2018 | Lake Winnebago

Sturgeon spearing has been a strong tradition in many families around lake Winnebago for close to a century. Watch Jake Huebschman , his family and friends as they head out to try and fill a tag in this very low odds sport. Follow along with the whole process of preparing the day before season. Then join the family in their ice shanty’s on opening day. Jake was fortunate enough to spear his first lake sturgeon and it was complete chaos. The guys lose their minds after landing this prehistoric fish.
