Longtime General Hospital fans have been buzzing about some major changes involving one of the show’s most beloved characters, Sam McCall. After 20 years of playing Sam, Kelly Monaco is stepping away from the role, and Lindsay Hartley is stepping in as her temporary replacement. This switch will take place during the week of September 16, Hartley, no stranger to daytime TV, has filled in for Monaco multiple times since 2020. She’s known for her roles on Passions (as Theresa), All My Children (as Cara), and Days of Our Lives (as Arianna). Her most recent appearance as Sam occurred just last month, during the emotional storyline in which Sam's half-sisters, Molly and Kristina, mourned the loss of baby Irene (or Adela, depending on who you ask). #gh #kellymonaco #spoiler
