For a deeper context, an average budget for two in Kyoto looks like (as at 2024):
1. Eggs: 350 ¥
2. Bread: 300 ¥
3. Vegetables (Cabbage, Green pepper, Tomatoes, Onions, Potatoes, Kales (Komatsuna), Carrots, etc.): 2,500 ¥
4. Fruits (Bananas, Apple, Kiwi, Pineapple): 3,000 ¥
5. Milk (4 packets): 1,000 ¥
6. Drinks (Wine, Beer, Yoghurt, Green tea, Soda, etc.): 3,000 ¥
7. Meat (Beef, Chicken, Fish, Pork): 2,500 ¥
8. Snacks and Others: 3,000 ¥
