許桃之前雖然受盡先生的折磨，那一年接到董正中風的消息，她趕赴醫院，卻是一肩扛起看護的工作，他往生前的日子，竟是他們夫妻最寧靜的時光。高出知道了許桃生病的事，在摸索中燉了一鍋補湯給許桃喝，讓許桃心生暖意。她想起第一次和高出到花蓮慈濟醫院的過程，當初她反對高出把辛苦錢捐給慈濟，直到親眼見到醫院的志工，遂開始投入慈濟至今。

Although Hsu Tao was abused by her husband Dong Zheng in the past, when she received the news of Dong Zheng’s stroke, she rushed to the hospital, and took care of him. His days before death were actually the most peaceful time for they couple. Kao Chu knew that Xu Tao was sick, and tried to cook a pot of soup for Hsu Tao to drink, it made Hsu Tao feel warm. Hsu Tao remembered the first time when she came to Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital with Kao Chu, she opposed Kao Chu to donate her hard earned money to Tzu Chi at the beginning until she saw those Tzu Chi volunteers dedicated in the hospital. She joined Tzu Chi as a volunteer and still remains as one now.
