Time for the Kelolon Tournament.
Cooke should handily be able to take out the first round Kelolons with regular attacks, but you'll probably want to add an accessory after the qualifier so she can use more magic. Gamble should one shot the first round's enemy and will do up until you face Mack. For Mack I swapped in battle to Wisdom Earrings and used Forcea to one shot.

After beating Mack, you win the tournament and the King wishes to take Cooke as his wife, but swaps to Sarah when he finds out Cooke is a child. Sarah obviously doesn't want to, so it's boss fight time.

The Kelolon King mainly seemed to use Coverus which makes 1-2 attacks do nothing. Use Groundus with Mages and go all out with physical attackers. I didn't bother with buffing here, he only attacked me once.

Defeating him gets you the Kelonga Crown and Divide. Divide deals your current HP as damage, so with 9,999 and doublecast you have the potential for 19,998 per round which slices through most opponents in the game in a few rounds at most.

Leave and come back for a Candlestick puzzle. There are a few solutions, but this is reminiscent of a Sonic Adventure puzzle. You want all Candles lit and lighting/snuffing out affects the candle either side, so you want to end up with three in a row unlit and then press the middle of the three.

Head to Pirate's Fortress and speak with the Pipot. Trade in for a few Power Drinks (one of each elemental bomb) and whatever else you think you will help. Then head back to Sed's Studio to get your reward for finding the pirate crew. The weapon is powerful enough an upgrade, but the ring effect is great.
Leave the Fortress and re-enter and speak with the crew member by the Gondola for a Slot Seed.

Next up the story purpose for Numara Atoll.
Now that we have Ming's Harp, Ming will mention the Holy Beast.
Head to the N rocky section and Ming will play the Harp and summon the beast. She has to be in this battle. If you have Groundus Bomb chuck them all here for some nice consistent damage. Gamble should also do a nice chunk and it should go down in a few rounds. Sleep immunity will help, but double item healing for it will do as well. Holy Beast will give you an item which teaches Slot +10 which is definitely a massive help.

I grind here with Tolten for a while as he has an upcoming solo boss battle, and his skills can come in handy, especially for Kaim and Seth who can use his melee oriented skills better (I still need him a few levels up after for his final abilities to pass on as well). Skip ahead to 1:09:00 to see the end results of the grinding. You will need Complete Defense before trying his boss battle.

Head back to Uhra and all the way to the Ampitheatre to find the final Seal for Tolten. The First King of Uhra appears and challenges Tolten to prove that he is worthy of being the current King.

He will give you instructions, and you'll need to use Complete Defense when asked to protect yourself. He'll use Ultimate Hit and deal nothing through your defense. You will then be able to use Ultimate Hit to finish the fight off and have it learned on Tolten permanently.

Age of the King is the most powerful weapon in the game, so with Royal Equipment Skill Perk it can go on Kaim alongside the King Ring which is probably the best use of the equipment to be honest. Ultimate Hit is also worth picking up, as it will be your best option for magic resistant/immune enemies going forward.

Leave and in the next part we'll be dealing with more sidequests and heading to the Grand Staff.
