The new 2019 models are lighter, just 1.01 kilos, feature new 14" 1080p or 4k slim bezel displays, a slight bump up in power with Whiskey Lake-U Core i5 8265U and Core i7 8565U CPUs. Up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. For ports, you get 3 x USB 3.0 ports, Type-C USB 3.1, RJ45, SD slot, VGA and HDMI out. The pricing starts at $1299 USD for the base i5/8GB/256GB model. VAIO is still made in Japan just like the old Sony VAIO's from years ago with some of the original engineers.
