This morning we’ve hopped over to Hellifield to spot some trains; and this one is a genuinely special one!
Here we see the beautiful Midland Pullman approaching as it heads north on a railtour.
The train was introduced on to the British Rail Western Region more than 50 years ago. It ran between London and the south-west of England for decades; and was a modern, fast, efficient train when it was introduced. Even now, it’s still striking just how smooth and how quiet this train is.
Now this train has been kitted out like the old deluxe Pullman service; the carriages look absolutely amazing with their bright blue livery.
People who have been on these services are genuinely wowed by the luxurious experience and the fabulous scenery. These railtours pass through some of the best of British countryside.
