Built by Cochin Shipyard Limited, INS Mahe is fast, stealthy, and engineered for shallow-water operations perfect for tracking enemy submarines along the Western Seaboard. Named after the historic coastal town of Mahe, the ship’s crest features the legendary Urumi, symbolising speed, precision, and lethal flexibility.

This vessel represents more than naval strength it showcases India’s growing shipbuilding capability under Aatmanirbhar Bharat, proving that the Indian Navy is moving toward full indigenous dominance in maritime defence.
