Meeting Asian Tourists in Alona Beach & Discussing Solo Travel in the Philippines.

I have travelled to 50 countries in the world and travelled alone for the past 20 years. There's no other way to travel in my mind. The benefits of Solo Travel far outweigh the negatives. Asia, for me is the best continent to experience Solo Travel. I took my first trip to India in South-East Asia in 1987 and stayed there 6 months. I've since returned on 7 further trips. I've also been a lone//shy/introvert so travelling alone really takes me out of my comfort zone. In this video I provide 8 good reasons for solo travel, which will also assist older, senior citizens considering travelling alone in the future.

Where is the best beach destination in the Philippines? Alona beach is a popular public beach located at the south-west tip of Panglao Island, Bohol in the Philippines. It is known for its white sand, rocky cliffs, and commercial facilities that line the 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) stretch of the beach. This is my first time back on Bohol for almost 2 years. In this video I move to Alona Garden Resort, Alona Beach, Panglao, visit a few eating establishments and meet friendly locals on stormy Alona Beach.

Alona Beach is a reputed destination for snorkeling and more importantly scuba diving. The nearby Balicasag and Pamilacan islands are of particular interest since both are marine reserves. There is a large number of dive shops in Alona Beach offering a variety of diving certification courses, technical courses and excursions for divers of all levels.

With its low cost of living, diversity, culture, weather, food, scenery, long visas entice foreigners to live in the Philippines. Filipinos are welcome and warm people. Filipinos are often regarded as the most friendliest nation in Asia and nicest people in the world. English is widely spoken throughout the country. The Philippines is included in the top ten English speaking countries in the world. The majority of Filipinos are highly proficient in English, so it is very easy to strike up a conversation and make new friends, but so last century. When you're there you feel like you're stuck in an 80s/90s time warp with the old skool music blaring out and the outdated infrastructure.

Cebu is a vibrant Asian city and favorite travel destination in Asia. Cebu has the best of both world - combining the city life of shopping malls and nightlife with beaches and paradise islands. The Philippines should be on everyone’s bucket list with its beautiful white sand beaches, fabulous idyllic islands, turquoise sea and stunning scenery. The Philippines is a traveller’s paradise and regularly included in top ten favorite places to visit in Asia and affordable, favorite world holiday destination.

Many foreigners/expats choose the Philippines as the best country to retire in Asia and live in paradise. The Philippines is one of the cheapest countries to live in the world with its low cost of living and all year sunshine. Retiring in the Philippines is affordable on a budget of around $800 pcm.
