Orange Heavy Metal Nymph

The Heavy Metal Nymph is a good mid-weight nymph. It sinks quickly due to the thin abdomen and amount of wire used. The fly reflect light from both wire and the iridescence of the peacock herl thorax. The marabou tail provides constant movement to the fly. The partridge soft-hackled collar has much mottling imitating segment legs. The hackle collar will move in the water current providing more action to the fly. Fish it by itself or a point fly on a 2 or 3 nymph leader rig. I also tie this fly in copper brown, green, silver and red.
