Описание к видео 1975 Honda Civic 3 Dr. Full-Overlap Frontal Impact into Fixed Test Device (41 Mph)

An old series of tests of the "NHTSA Test Device", which is an array of 6" thick honeycomb-faced load cell barriers (4X10). In this series, they are mounted either on a solid wall or on a Moving Test Device. This series was to establish a test methodology for evaluating crash compatibility and aggressiveness. Tests performed are a full-overlap crash test into the stationary NHTSA Test Device, then compared to an equivalent-velocity Moving Test Device collision. The vehicles tested in this series were the 1975 Model Year Plymouth Fury Sedan, Ford Torino Sedan, Volvo 244DL Sedan, and Honda Civic (CCVC) 3 Dr Hatchback.

The test in this video is a 1975 Honda Civic 3 Dr. (91ci CCVC 4 Cyl, 4-Speed Manual) full-overlap frontal crash test into a Fixed Test Device at 40.8 Mph (65.7 Km/h). This test was performed on 04/17/1978 at Dynamic Science in Phoenix, Arizona.
