Shelly C. Lowe, a member of the Navajo Nation, is the first Native American and only the second woman to lead the National Endowment for the Humanities. The agency is one of the country’s largest funders of humanities programs. On Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 1:00 p.m. ET, Lowe joins Washington Post Live to discuss the NEH’s newest initiatives, the role of education in grappling with America’s history and her personal journey.
