Aral insists that we as individuals must have ownership and control of our digital selves. We are the products that companies and corporations sell to their customers. This is the business model of Silicon Valley which regulators of today don't question enough.
Aral’s work protects fundamental freedoms, human rights, and democracy by creating independent consumer technologies that don’t spy on you. He is the author of the Ind.ie Manifesto.

Aral is currently working on coding the core of the Ind.ie platform, a beautiful distributed social network called Heartbeat. In this talk he tells you all about it.
