Leader of the House Indranee Rajah on how parliament has dealt with Tan Chuan-Jin's hot-mic incident

Leader of the House Indranee Rajah on Wednesday (Aug 2) addressed the hot-mic incident involving former Speaker of Parliament Tan Chuan-Jin. She said Mr Tan has acknowledged his lapse in the use of an expletive in reaction to a speech by Workers' Party MP Jamus Lim.

She read out Mr Tan's formal apology to the House, and said the "regrettable incident" can be brought to a close.

Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh asked Ms Indranee whether the police should look into how the hot-mic video got circulated in public. He said he has received questions on whether the hot-mic video was a "false flag".
