This c2c crochet mesh stitch is a variation of the c2c double crochet stitch method. Instead of working solid "blocks" of double crochets you are working chain stitches throughout the middle section while both ends are solid dc blocks.

I really love mesh projects but I am not a big fan of working it with a long foundation chain. It tends to be awkward for a few rows and if I make a mistake it is just not fun to rip out and start over.

This c2c stitch fixes that issue! By working on the diagonal or corner to corner you don't have to worry about having a large starting chain. And, it makes adjusting the finished size so very EASY!

Just work your square to the width/height you are looking for and then begin decreasing either from both ends or make a rectangle shape by continuing to increase on one end. That makes this stitch so easy to customize!

Another great thing about this stitch is that you will have a solid border of dc blocks around the outside edge of your mesh. No need to provide a border!

You can use any size weight of yarn you wish for this pattern from lighter weight to worsted weight yarn - even bulky! The lighter your yarn the more drape your project will have.

I have several designs coming up that will be using this c2c crochet mesh stitch that I think you will love so be sure to check back for those.
