It's been a little bit of a while since the last upload but I'm still around! Today we have an Allison Enviro 200 from Metroline who own the last full batches of native Euro 4 Enviro 200s going strong in London. This is DE1032, which separately from the Euro 5 LK10s/11s, can exceed 39mph 😂 and reach the legal speed limiter of 62mph as you will see roughly 3 minutes into the video! Further in, past all the deadrun clips, comes the rather challenging rail replacement routing throughout the sticks of Hertfordshire 🌳. It certainly wasn't enough to faze this driver as he completely gunned it everywhere, despite the winding roads, blind corners and tight gaps coming their way! But as a rail replacement routing this is definitely up there as one of my favourite. Action wise, we all know what to expect from an Allison Dart... downshifts after every rolling pullaway and upshifting as high as 2500rpm (Redline) on an incline. It is very nice to at last enjoy a run like this on a Metroline Dart as they aren't often driven in such a way where they are put to their limits... being stuck on routes like C11 or 143, if you're lucky 112 and 324 on a late night etc.
So props to the driver for making this possible, in the future to come this video should be a solid memory for Metroline's older Enviro 200s once they're all withdrawn from TFL service...
