Hello everyone. I've managed to practice my video editing skills and have drastically improved my audio quality and have started incorporating games into my videos in order to demonstrate the theories I am talking about.

This video really focuses and broad philosophies of aerial combat in the Eastern Front and the Western Front during World War 2. I am using the game Aces high II in order to demonstrate a couple of manoeuvres like the immelman and split s. I used a BF109 G6 mainly because it's fine, although my favorite aircraft is the Spitfire Mk VIII (at least in this game). Think of it as the predecessor of war thunder, however with more realism. You may also be wondering about that buzzing sound. That is the stall indicator telling me that I am climbing too rapidly and losing energy. You may also be wondering why the screen momentarily turns black every now and then. It is because this game simulates G force and the blackouts are mainly to simulate pilot blackouts from turns that are too sharp.

I start off by talking about the different approaches to aerial combat in each front of the European theatre. I will provide empircal information on flight tests for the P51D, BF 109E3, BF 109G6 and Yak3, since I didn't include test information for the E3 or Yak3 on the video. I didn't want to make this video too long which is why I didn't do a hi yoyo or scissors. And frankly I suck at those manoeuvres. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Also I said nicknamed 'boom n zoom' because it wasn't really called that way in the war but the principle of energy retention was a philosophy during the war. That's why you had German aces like Erich Hartmann who employed such a tactic as a hit and run rather than exercising complex maneuvers. This is why he crashed so much. Because debris from shot down aircraft would hit his propeller. In most cases 'boom n zoom' would be performed behind the defender to give a surprise effect.
