Lake Biwa is the largest lake in Japan and is one of the best cycling routes in Japan. They have protected shared pedestrian / cycling roads around most of the entire lake.

In today's ride, we are starting in Maibara and riding South East towards Oohashi (the big bridge) near Kyoto.
