The Indian Diaspora in USA’s Washington DC started a celebration as India achieved the historic feat on August 23. ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 successfully made a soft landing on the lunar surface at around 6:04 PM. With this India became the first nation in the world to make a soft landing on the lunar south pole. India also became the 4th country in the world to land on the Moon after the US, Russia, and China.
Talking about the same, Sripriya Ranganathan the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of India said, “Pride…Pride…Pride…We are so proud of ISRO. We are so proud of everyone who contributed to making this mission successful. We are also proud of those who have been there before and who have helped us learn the lessons that have made the Chandrayaan 3 possible. India being on the moon, what more can we hope for, and what more we can aspire for? So proud” said Sripriya Ranganathan.
