My first love for Pomfret started with an amazing Shorshe Posto diye Jhal - but making a good shorshe gravy without turning it bitter is a task and that’s where Emami Mantra Shorshe Posto comes to the rescue - it’s convenient , quick - ready to use in under 8 minutes, and same authentic taste

We just have to soak in room temperature water and keep it for 8 minutes and that’s all! The taste is exactly like the real deal and the posto adds richness - making the gravy thick and creamy 🫠

For this recipe:
I marinated 500gm pomfret with salt , 1 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp red chilli powder.
While this rests heat 1/3rd cup of mustard oil.
Fry the fish till it’s golden brown on both sides.
Set the fish aside, temper with 1/4 tsp black cumin and 3-4 slit green chillis
Soak the 2 tsp Emami Mantra Shorshe Posto moshla in 1/2 cup water and keep for 8 min. Then add in the kadhai on low heat
When oil separates, add 1/2 cup water and the fish. Adjust salt if needed
Cook for 4-5 min on each side
Garnish with green chillis and raw mustard oil
