Algonquin 2022: Pinetree Lake Winter Camp

In late February 2022 Rich and I decided to head out winter camping in Algonquin Park. We were joined by "Buddy Steve" and Jarin from Knox on Woods. This was the first winter camping experience for everyone but Evan, so the plan was not very ambitious. A quick 2-day "there and back again" style trip from Highway 60 to Pinetree Lake.

Day One of our trip was a nose biting -27 degrees C, but the temperatures warmed to a balmy -16 by Day 2. We packed accordingly (read as overpacked...) and everyone was warm and cozy in our hot tents.

This was the first time meeting Steve and Jarin in person, and we had a blast. We look forward to getting some more trips in with these fine gentlemen.
