Film director Krishand talks to The New Indian Express - Kerala about how grabbing the attention of the viewer has become the most important thing for advertisers, filmmakers, content creators and influencers these days. The film director says that films have started to follow the format of the short-form content on social media, and major film production companies like Marvel and DC are also making use of this format. The harmful side of this trend is, Krishand says, that people will have to be provided with a constant supply of dopamine. This will lead to reducing an already diminished attention span, and artists will be forced to resort to using gimmicks to grab their attention, Krishand says.
