How to repotting Zamioculcas plant / ZZ plant

Propagating a ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is quite straightforward and can be done in a few simple steps. Here’s an easy method for you to try:

Materials Needed:
Healthy ZZ plant
Sharp, clean knife or scissors
Potting soil (well-draining mix)
Small pots or containers
Optional: rooting hormone
Method 1: Leaf Cuttings
Select a Healthy Leaf:

Choose a healthy, mature leaf from the ZZ plant. Ensure it’s free from pests or disease.
Cut the Leaf:

Using a clean, sharp knife or scissors, cut the leaf at the base of the stem where it attaches to the main plant.
Allow to Callus:

Place the leaf cutting in a dry, warm area for a few days to allow the cut end to callus over. This helps to prevent rot when planted.
Prepare the Pot:

Fill a small pot with well-draining potting soil. You can use a mix of regular potting soil and perlite or sand for better drainage.
Plant the Cutting:

Insert the callused end of the leaf into the soil, burying it about 1-2 inches deep. Press the soil gently around the cutting to hold it in place.
Water and Care:

Water the soil lightly to moisten it. Place the pot in a warm, bright location but out of direct sunlight. Keep the soil slightly moist, but be careful not to overwater, as this can lead to rot.
Wait for Growth:

Leaf cuttings can take several months to develop roots and new growth. Be patient and continue to care for the cutting as you would the main plant.
